LIDL has revealed the locations across the UK that are being eyed up as part of their expansion.
The budget supermarket chain is looking to expand its portfolio of supermarkets, by double following phenomenal growth in recent years.
More 20 locations in Hampshire were earmarked for potential new supermarkets and both Basingstoke Central and Tadley are on that list.
But it is not set in stone with Lidl open to other opportunities, their website reads: “These pages highlight locations that particularly interest us. We will however consider opportunities in addition to those areas listed.”
The ideal location for the new stores will be in a prominent part of town with main road frontage, easy access and strong pedestrian or traffic flow.
