FIGURES show that 88 per cent of people transferred to the NHS Test and Trace system were reached in Hampshire in the space of eight months.
Between May 28, 2020, and February 03 this year, 54,419 people were transferred to the contact tracing system.
Of these, 47,705 were reached by the Test and Trace system, equating to 88 per cent.
The figures revealed by the Department of Health and Social Care show that 110,731 contacts in Hampshire were identified by national call centres and online service. Among them, 94,263 people were reached, equating to 85 per cent.
The data also shows Basingstoke and Deane Council has tested most number of people among local authorities in Hampshire region over the same period.
The total number has reached 91,610 as of February 3, while areas like East Hampshire, Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Hart, Havant, New Forest and Rushmoor fall behind.
Southampton and Portsmouth are also in Hampshire, but are unitary authorities, and therefore not included.
