A MAN has died after being injured at a construction site in Basingstoke.
Paramedics and police officers were called to Wiltshire Crescent, off Old Kempshott Lane, at 9.46am on Monday after a man injured himself.
He was rushed to hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
Police officers remained at the site for hours to investigate the circumstances, and are working alongside the Health and Safety Executive.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "We were called at 9.46am today (February 15) after a 30-year-old man was found injured on a construction site in Wiltshire Crescent, Basingstoke.
"He was taken to hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead. His family have been informed and are being supported.
"Officers are in attendance at the site and enquiries are ongoing as to the exact circumstances of his death, in liaison with Health and Safety Executive."
The construction site, which is opposite the junction with Chippenham Close, is run by Brymor Construction Group.
