DASHCAM footage shot by a Youtuber shows a series of alleged ‘dangerous driving’ on Basingstoke roads.

The Youtube channel bettigru creates videos using dashcam footage shot in Basingstoke, which allegedly shows ‘dangerous’ driving in the borough.

The latest video titled ‘Bad, Idiot, Ignorant, Dangerous Drivers in Basingstoke’ shows driving incidents that occurred in January. 

In one of the most shocking clips, a white van can be seen veering in front of the Youtubers car which allegedly almost caused a crash with a bus.  

The youtuber claims the van was in the wrong lane at a roundabout and that police are looking into the incident.

Other footage shows drivers seemly ignoring road signs, driving in bus lanes and not looking before turning on roundabouts.

The Youtuber wrote on his page: “This is my third compilation of reckless drivers who should thank me for being alert, keeping them and my family safe in Basingstoke. It features drivers who think lane indicators and traffic signs are only for other drivers.

“During the pandemic, many drivers have developed some bad habits driving only on secondary streets. Some day they will be back on our motorways.  There is an old saying, Give them and inch and they will take a mile. My modification, Give them an inch and they will take a foot, or an arm or a life.”
