A FUNDRAISER set up in memory of Scott Grimes has raised almost six times the original target of £5,000 in under 48 hours.
Emergency services were called to Wiltshire Crescent, off Old Kempshott Lane, on Monday (February 15) to reports of an incident.
The employee, 30-year-old Scott Grimes, from Aldershot was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time later.
The Liverpool football fan and dad of one has been described by loved ones as a ‘gentle giant’ with a ‘heart of gold’.
Devastated friends created an appeal to support his family through the sudden loss.

Writing on GoFundMe, Billy Davies put: “Scott was tragically taken from us on the morning of February 15 while at work.
“With the family’s blessing, we are asking for any donations to help cover funeral costs or anything that will help out the family going forward.
“In true Aldershot style, I know we will all come together as one like we have always done to show our love and support for an amazing man.
“Thoughts and love go out to everyone close to Scott at this incredibly sad time.”
Already, the appeal has broken through its £5,000 target with nearly 795 people helping to raise £29,470.
A spokesman for Brymor Construction said: “Regrettably an incident occurred, at our Wiltshire Crescent site, where an operative was found unresponsive.
“Sadly despite first aid being administered by our team and the emergency health professionals, they were unable to resuscitate him.
“The matter is being investigated by the relevant authorities and the Company continues to assist them with their inquiries.
“The thoughts of everyone at Brymor remain with his family and friends at this time.”
