A NEW B&M store is set to officially open on March 27 in Kempshott.
The store is to replace the former Mothercare site on Wallop Drive and will create new jobs in the community.
A spokesperson for B&M told The Gazette: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people during these difficult times and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”
“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the doors next month.”
But not all residents are happy with the news with some taking to social media express their disapproval at the new store.
One wrote: “Let’s watch our house values decrease”
Other residents were quick to defend the store replying: “We already have Lidl and Poundland…If they didn’t get the trade they wouldn’t be trading.”
