Basingstoke is set to get a brand new B&M store on Wallop Drive - and it opens up tomorrow.
Residents have been eagerly awaiting the moment the town's second store opens, which will come as a delight to those living in Kempshott and Hatch Warren.
Ahead of the chain's opening tomorrow, here is what we know so far:
What time does it open?
If you are desperate to visit, you don't have to wait long. The store will open its doors for the first time on Saturday morning (March 27) at 8am.
Where is it?
B&M's new store is based next to Sainsbury's in Hatch Warren and occupying the former home of Mothercare. Or if you need an address to pop into your SatNav, it's on Wallop Drive.
The chain already has a store on Thorneycroft Industrial Estate next to Morrisons, off Worting Road.
What is B&M?
B&M describes itself as “one of the UK's fastest-growing variety retailers”, which “believes in selling big brands at sensational prices”.
It has 3 million customers weekly.
The new store will be the second in Basingstoke, with one already situated at the Thorneycroft Industrial Estate on Worting Road.
A notice situated outside the site gives notice of the company’s application to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to sell alcohol on the premises.
A spokesperson for B&M told The Gazette: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people during these difficult times and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”
“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the doors next month.”
What will the store’s opening hours be?
The application for an alcohol license is from 7am - 11pm, seven days a week, but the store is yet to confirm the opening hours of the new site.
The current Basingstoke store opens from 8am - 8pm Monday to Saturday and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sundays.
