POLICE officers have an issued a humorous appeal for witnesses after responding to a report this afternoon of a loose pig in Odiham.
Officers from Aldershot have been dispatched to investigate the situation - but as yet there's no sign of the alleged escapee.
Posting on Twitter, Hampshire Response unit wrote: "Aldershot units dispatched to reports of a loose pig in Odiham - no swine of it so far, might be a load of hogwash ... If anyone sees it then please squeal..."

Getting in on the joke, one user commented: "Sounds like porkies to me..."
Another added: "Aren't you hamming this up too much?"
