AN ECO-friendly, plastic free shop has opened in Festival Place.

Your Home Your World was founded by Angharad whose aim is to make low waste or zero alternatives more affordable and accessible.

The environmentally friendly conscious businesswoman set up the shop with support from her parents and grandmother, saying: “They have supported this venture from its conception back when I was in my final year at uni, and especially when the pandemic hit, as we opened our shop in Basingstoke.

“They truly mean everything to me and the business, and neither would be here without them.”

The shop on the upper ground floor of Festival Place offers a range of bathroom, pantry and cleaning products.

Customers can bring in their own containers to refill with essentials such as sugar, flour and fabric conditioner.

The shop also has a range of beauty products for sale including body scrub, foundation, concealer and lipstick, as well as vegan products such as bamboo toothbrushes, soap bars and deodorant.

It is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm, on Wednesdays from 10am to 1.30pm and on Sundays 11am to 4pm.
