- A TEENAGER from Basingstoke has been charged with two counts of rape.
Tobias Curtis, of Tobago Close in Popley, is said to have committed rape on February 10 and August 24, 2020.
Both offences are alleged to have taken place in Basingstoke.
The 19-year-old has been released on conditional bail and will next appear at Winchester Crown Court on March 24.
- A MAN from Basingstoke has denied being involved in drug dealing.
Finn Ewan Murphy, of May Place, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, both Class A drugs.
It is alleged this took place in Basingstoke between August 20 and 30, 2019.
The 41-year-old has pleaded guilty to both charges, and will appear at Winchester Crown Court on March 24.
- A MAN who was caught with cannabis at Basingstoke railway station has been fined.
Jahdelle Williams Campbell, whose address is listed as HMP Bedford, admitted to being in possession of the Class B drug on March 6, 2020.
He was fined £60, and magistrates deemed that he had already served enough time in custody by the time he appeared in court last Thursday.
The 20-year-old was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32, and the cannabis was forfeited and destroyed.
- A MAN has admitted assaulting two women in Hook.
Brovie Tyler Smithson, of Wool Grove in Andover, pleaded guilty to the assault by beating of the women in Hook on July 25, 2020.
The 24-year-old’s case has been sent to Winchester Crown Court for sentencing, where he will appear on March 12.
- A MAN has been accused of attempted burglary.
Daniel Bruce David Malcolm, of Sinclair Drive, is accused of attempting to enter a property on Pennine Way in Buckskin with the intent to steal in November 2018.
The 42-year-old, who is also known as Ashley John Malcolm, has elected trial by jury. He will appear at Winchester Crown Court on March 24.
- A BASINGSTOKE man is set to face trial after allegedly assaulting another person.
Matt Kaleb Donaldson, of Flaxfield Court, pleaded not guilty to assaulting the man in a Sainsbury’s car park on May 2, 2020.
The 28-year-old has been released on unconditional bail, pending the trial at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on October 4.
- A BASINGSTOKE man has been found not guilty of harassment.
Darrell Butler, of Seymour Road, had been accused of the racially aggravated abuse of a man between August 1, 2018 and April 6, 2020.
The 65-year-old was found not guilty of three offences by magistrates last Monday.
His case has been dismissed, and an order was made for the court to pay for Butler’s costs.
- A MAN has been banned from driving after being caught over the drink-drive limit in Hook.
Matthew Louis Hutchings, of Harborne Road in Birmingham, was behind the wheel of a Green Ford Fiesta on Christmas Eve 2020 when the offence took place.
After driving along the B3349, a breath test found 67 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of his breath - where the legal limit is 35.
The 29-year-old was given a 17-month driving ban, and fined £369.
He was also ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £37.
