A DRUG driver caught near Micheldever Station has been banned from the road for two years.
David John Cook, 36, was arrested on the A303 by police on August 23 last year whilst driving a 56-reg Audi A3.
When tested the reading of benzoylecgonine, a breakdown product of cocaine, was 59µg/l when the legal limit is 50µg/l.
Cook, appeared in court via a video link from Thameside Prison to admit the charge.
Magistrates in Basingstoke also fined him £66 with a £34 victim surcharge. There was not ordered for costs as Cook has no money as he was remanded back into custody. The reason he is in jail was unavailable.
