The Hampshire Court has been named one of the top five performing Covid-19 vaccination sites in the country.
The hotel, based in Chineham, became a vaccination centre in December 2020 and to date have administered over 65,000 vaccines, which amounts to a whopping 95 per cent of the total vaccines administered in Hampshire.
“We are very pleased to be supporting the NHS in their monumental task of vaccinating the population,” said Steve Lawson, general manager at The Hampshire Court. “The fact that the hotel is seen as one of the top performing vaccination sites in the country is truly a great feeling.”
The hotel will remain a vaccination site until September 2021.
More than half of people in Basingstoke and Deane have received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, figures reveal.
NHS data shows 73,170 people had received a vaccine jab by March 21 – equating to 52 per cent of those aged 16 and over, according to the latest population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.
Of those vaccinated, 56,411 were aged 50 or over – 85% of the age group.
It means 16,759 people aged between 16 and 49 have received a first dose of the vaccine.
