A PUBLIC notice has been issued to build up to 57 new dwellings at Land At Redlands in Reading Road, Sherfield-on-Loddon.
The advertisement of outline application for the development was published by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (BDBC).
The council has described the development as “all matters reserved except access and layout”.
The reason for issuing a public notice is explained as “proposal constituting Major Development and affecting a Right of Way.”
A project to build more than 100 houses in Sherfield-on-Loddon first began in 2015 when Phillips Planning Consultants Limited approached BDBC.
Redlands, on the A33 opposite the Sherfield Park development, was included in the draft Local Plan. The initial application had said access to the site would be provided by a new road off the Taylors Farm Roundabout.
In 2017, the members of BDBC had agreed to approve a major development with the potential for 900 new homes to the East of Basingstoke and Redlands.
The Basingstoke Gazette regularly prints public notices alerting the public to proposals whether by statutory authorities, private companies or individuals.
