FIRE crews from Basingstoke and Fleet are currently tackling a barn fire in Baughurst - where four pigs have been rescued from the flames.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 11.48 today (April 8) and the situation is ongoing.
A spokesperson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: “Basingstoke and Fleet firefighters are currently tackling a barn fire on Baughurst Road in Baughurst.
“Four pigs have been safely removed from the barn also used as a log store, with the crews using an onsite digger to move logs away from the fire.
“Firefighters were called at 11:48 and are using hose reel jets to extinguish the fire which is nearly out.”
