ARMED police were spotted carrying out a raid on a residential street in South Ham yesterday afternoon.
Residents spotted approximately four officers and a police dog handler on Branton Close in the late afternoon.
One eye-witness told the Gazette that the officers were "kitted out" and that an arrest was made.
The witness said it occurred at roughly the same time as an incident on nearby St Peter's Road, where police have confirmed that two people were found with stab wounds.
However, it is as yet unclear whether the two incidents are connected.
Hampshire Constabulary has been contacted for comment.
