FIREFIGHTERS from Basingstoke and Odiham were called to a 'smoke build up' at an Indian restaurant last night.
Crews were mobilised at 7.28pm on Sunday (May 2) to a fire alarm sounding at Saffron Tandoori in Brighton Hill.
On arrival, they discovered that there was no fire, but that smoke had built up due to a broken extractor fan.
No action was needed by the firefighters and the stop message came in at 7.37pm.
And if this is your local takeaway there's no need to worry, as the restaurant remains open as normal.
