The Conservatives have won a comfortable majority on Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
They picked up 33 of the 54 seats on offer, gaining councillors in key wards.
It was a great day for the party, turning their minority administration since a 2019 by-election into a majority.
They also burst into Brookvale and Kings Furlong, taking two councillors who will be the first since 1983 to represent the area.
