POLICE are appealing for information following a 'hit and run' incident near Overton in the early hours of Saturday morning (May 15).
The two-car collision occurred at around 5.50am on the Kingsclere Road (B3051) just outside Polhampton Stud.
The collision involved a Volkswagen Polo and a second vehicle, which immediately left the scene. Police confirmed to the Gazette that no one was hurt in the incident.
Posting on a community Facebook page, the partner of the driver of the Polo shared a photograph of the damaged car, and appealed for witnesses.
"At around 5.50am a car came speeding on the wrong side of the road and hit into the side of my girlfriend's car," they said.
"The car failed to stop and sped off down the road. Can anyone local check their CCTV please so we can find who did this."
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson added: "The matter is currently under investigation.
"If anyone has any information we would encourage them to contact us on 101, quoting 44210187361."
