A man who drove more than double the speed limit through a North Hampshire village has been banned from driving.
Andrew Stuart Greenwood was behind the wheel of a Renault Clio in Herriard on May 31, 2020 when he was clocked travelling at 85 miles per hour.
The speed limit on the A339 there is 40 mph.
Appearing before Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, the 45-year-old, of Woods Lane in Cliddesden, was banned from driving for two months.
He must also pay a £475 fine, as well as costs of £85 and a £48 victim surcharge.
Two drivers who were clocked at more than 110 miles per hour on the M3 have been fined.
Max Andrew Golding was behind the wheel of a Seat Ibiza whilst travelling at 112 mph towards London at Junction 5 (Hook).
The 21-year-old, of Hawthorne Close in Bromley, was given a £120 fine and six points on his licence, after he admitted the charge via the single justice procedure last year.
He must pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34.
Meanwhile, Mihai-Dragos Nutu was speeding at 120 miles per hour on the M3 at Junction 6 (Basingstoke) on December 17, 2020.
He was driving a BMW X6 at the time.
The 33-year-old, of Lark Rise in Crawley, was fined £440, and banned from driving for six months.
He must also pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £44.
A Basingstoke woman who stole £55 of alcohol from a supermarket has been fined.
Emma Marie Quinn, of St Peter’s Road, admitted to stealing the drinks from an Iceland supermarket in Basingstoke on February 13.
Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court last Saturday, Quinn pleaded guilty to one count of theft.
She was fined £40, and ordered to pay costs of £40 and a £34 victim surcharge.
A man has been banned from entering Popley as he waits to stand trial for assault.
Maciej Adam Kaminski, of Armstrong Road, pleaded not guilty to assaulting a man in Basingstoke on March 11.
The 46-year-old has been released on conditional bail, pending the trial in January 2022 at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court.
He must not enter Popley or contact, directly or indirectly, three name persons, with a number of exceptions.
A man who admitted assaulting four people, including a police officer in Basingstoke must abstain from alcohol, a court has ruled.
Louis James Fink admitted assaulting PC Dewane, two other men and a woman in Castons Yard on August 30 at an earlier hearing.
The 23-year-old appeared before Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court to be sentenced on Friday.
He was given an alcohol abstinence requirement, meaning he must not consume alcohol for 120 days, which will be monitored.
Fink, of Agricola Way in Thatcham, must also complete 20 rehabilitation activity days before November 20, 2022, and was ordered to pay costs of £105.
He was also told to pay a £95 victim surcharge.
A Basingstoke man has been banned from driving after he admitted drink-driving.
Reece John Edwards Fry, of Novello Close, was behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta at the roundabout between Hatch Warren Way and Brighton Way when over the limit.
A breath test revealed the 21-year-old had 65 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath - where the legal limit is 35.
He was fined £300 and banned from driving for 16 months.
Fry must also pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34.
