ORGANISERS of a two-day music festival being held in Basingstoke have been given the green light for it to go ahead.
Starlight Concerts Live (Entertainment) Limited has been granted a premises licence to hold the music festival in War Memorial Park on September 4 and 5.
The Legends Festival includes a line-up of tribute acts including Abba, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Elton John, Queen, Take That, Robbie Williams, Madness, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and Tina Turner.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council granted the licence at the end of April, which includes activities including playing films, live music, recorded music, performance of dance and supply of alcohol.
