A TEENAGER arrested after gunshots were heard in South Ham on Monday (May 31) has been released with no further action.
Police were called to the scene at Dibley Close play park at 8.38pm to residents reports of a gunshot being fired.
Witnesses also claimed to see three men running in the direction of Claythorpe Road and Cleaver Road.
No injuries were reported, and no gun recovered.
Police confirmed yesterday (Tuesday, June 1) that a 17-year-old male from Basingstoke had been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill as part of ongoing enquiries into the incident.
However, Hampshire Constabulary told the Gazette this morning that the teenager has been released with no further action.
The play park remained cordoned off throughout yesterday while specialist search officers scoured the area.
