A WOMAN from Brighton Hill has been banned from driving after failing to respond to a police request.
Shona Nicole Ettridge, of Schubert Road, received two letters from Devon and Cornwall Police last year after her vehicle was allegedly seen speeding in Plymouth.
It is claimed that her Vauxhall Mokka was seen exceeding the 30mph speed limit on Alma Road in the city on two consecutive days in September 2020.
The police force sent a notice of intended prosecution in November 2020, but no reply was received.
Appearing before Bodmin Magistrates’ Court, in Cornwall, last month, the 26-year-old was banned from driving for 90 days.
She was also given a fine of £180 and ordered to pay a £54 victim surcharge.
The speeding charges were dropped.
