COMPLAINTS have been made about the borough council’s recycling points across the town which have been targeted by fly-tippers and left unemptied.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council has numerous recycling sites across the town, where items such as glass bottles, clothes, tins, and cans can be taken.
However, residents have reported that numerous sites have been left unemptied, with items taken there for recycling left discarded next to the bins in bags.
Others have become a target for fly-tipping, with one in Watson Way, Winklebury attracting fly-tippers who have left mattresses, household items, and bags of rubbish next to the recycling bins.
There is glass smashed all over the floor around the site, where bags filled with glass bottles have been left next to the filled bins.
The borough council has been asked for a comment.
