A major junction on A303 Trunk Road will see traffic restrictions for three weeks from June 24 (Thursday), Highways England has revealed.
Overton Road interchange on A303 will be closed between 7am and 6pm for approximately three weeks as Hampshire County Council is undertaking drainage works on an adjoining road.
The works are expected to begin on June 26 (Saturday).
Traffic affected by the closure will be diverted via other junctions of the A303.
In a public notice, Highways England said an order on the A303 Trunk Road has been made under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to authorise daytime closure of roads leading to and from both carriageways of the A303 at Overton Road Interchange.
These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors working on behalf of Hampshire County Council undertake drainage works on Overton Road.
Highways England further said in the notice: “The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.”
