AS coronavirus cases continue to rise across the UK, we have put together seven updates to keep you informed.
All the data below is correct as of Friday June 25.
1. According to Public Health England figures, 101 confirmed cases were reported in the Basingstoke and Deane area in the seven days to June 19- and increase of 20 per cent on the seven days previous.
2. The current rate of infection in Basingstoke is around 57.2 cases per 100,000 people.
3. Public Health England figures show 148 cases of the Delta variant – first identified in India – had been recorded in Basingstoke and Deane by June 23. That was 47 more than the 101 cases recorded the week before.
4. Tadley West has the highest seven–day rolling rate of new cases in the area according to the interactive map on the government coronavirus dashboard. The area is shown in blue, the colour used to identify areas with infection rates between 100 – 199 per 100,000. The figures refer to the seven days to June 19.
5. Three in five people in Basingstoke and Deane have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, figures reveal. NHS data shows 86,612 people had received both jabs by June 20 – 61 per cent of those aged 16 and over, based on the latest population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.
6. As of Tuesday, the Hampshire Hospitals Trust were caring for six coronavirus patients in hospital.
7. Nine schools in Basingstoke have reported coronavirus cases in the latest 10 day period: Winklebury Infant , Manor Field Junior, Burnham Copse Primary, North Waltham Primary, St Mark's Primary, Priory Primary, Testbourne Secondary, Hurst Secondary, Vyne Secondary.
