BASINGSTOKE has narrowly missed out on a yellow weather warning from the Met Office, as the region prepares for heavy rain on Sunday (June 27).
Residents can expect showers from the early hours of Sunday morning, with heavier and more frequent rain throughout the afternoon and evening, getting lighter as it continues into Monday.
It comes as Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain tomorrow, with risks of flooding, covering much of the South West of England.
However, Basingstoke has narrowly missed being includes within it.
"Areas of persistent and sometimes heavy rain may lead to localised flooding and travel disruption", it says.
The warning, which was announced this morning (Saturday, June 26), will come into force at 2pm on Sunday, June 27, and last until 7am on Monday, June 28.
Anyone planning to head out on the roads are urged to take extra care and plan ahead.
