EASTROP Park’s toilets are all closed after being vandalised.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council has apologised for the inconvenience to park users after having to shut the facilities this week.
A sign on the toilets says 'This toilet is out of order until further notice'.
The council’s cabinet member for recycling waste and regulatory services, Cllr Hayley Eachus, said: “The toilets at Eastrop Park have had to be temporarily closed for maintenance and a deep clean due to vandalism.
“Our contractors are working hard to reopen the facilities as soon as possible. In the meantime we apologise for any inconvenience caused to park users.”
It is not known if the toilets will re-open ahead of a programme of events taking place in the park this weekend as part of Basingstoke Festival.
However, Basingstoke Festival has since told the Gazette that the toilets in the boathouse will be open instead.
