A man has been fined after assaulting a woman outside a petrol station.
Michael McDonald, of Salters Heath Road in Monk Sherborne, assaulted the woman at Esso in Mulfords Hill, Tadley.
He appeared before Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he pleaded guilty to the charge.
The 21-year-old was fined £66 and also ordered to pay costs of £85, and a £34 victim surcharge.
No compensation was ordered because the victim did not wish to receive any.
A woman who sped through a residential road at almost 60 miles per hour has been fined.
Hannah Beeden, of Kempshott Lane, was caught behind the wheel of her Jaguar on Buckskin Lane, travelling at 56 miles per hour.
The offence happened on October 27, 2020.
The 33-year-old, who pleaded guilty via the single justice procedure, was fined £576 at a full court hearing last Saturday (June 26).
She was given six penalty points, ordered to pay costs of £85, and a victim surcharge of £58.
A woman has admitted assaulting a man in Basingstoke.
Nichola Button, of Pinkerton Road, pleaded guilty to assault by beating at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
She also pleaded guilty to damaging a Playstation belonging to the victim.
The 24-year-old will next appear before Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on September 1 for a Newton hearing.
She has been released on conditional bail.
A Basingstoke woman who travelled through roadworks at nearly 90 miles per hour has been banned from driving.
Suzanne Jade Glazier was behind the wheel of a Peugeot on November 6, 2020 on the M27 in Eastleigh, when she drove through the roadworks at 88 miles per hour.
The speed limit has been reduced in that section to 50 miles per hour to protect workers upgrading the road to a smart motorway.
It came just over a week after speeding in the same location.
Glazier was caught driving the same vehicle through the same stretch of road on October 27, this time at 62 miles per hour.
The 33-year-old pleaded guilty to both speeding offences at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court last Saturday, and was fined £259.
She will also have a 28-day driving ban.
Glazier, of Flagstone Crescent in Chineham, will have to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £85.
But two charges of failing to respond to police notices of intended prosecution in both cases were dropped after no evidence was offered.
A man caught driving a Mercedes at 100 miles per hour on the motorway near Basingstoke has been banned from driving.
Neil Malcolm Thomson, from Bristol, was behind the wheel of his Mercedes C220, which are priced at just under £30,000 new, on the M3 between junctions 7 and 8.
He was clocked travelling at 100 miles per hour on September 2, 2020.
The 35-year-old, of Winsbury Way, was fined £320 and banned from driving for six months.
He must also pay costs of £85 and a £34 victim surcharge.
A Basingstoke man will stand trial after denying drug driving.
Wayne Andrew Lewis, of Westfield Road, Black Dam, is accused of being behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Agila on Winchester Road in Popham when he had THC, a breakdown product of cannabis, in his bloodstream.
The offence is said to have taken place on September 12, 2020.
He’s further accused of driving without insurance or a licence.
The 37-year-old pleaded not guilty to all three charges at an earlier hearing.
The case has been adjourned and he will stand trial at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on July 2.
