THE trust which runs the hospitals in Basingstoke, Andover and Winchester has this week unveiled three new benches to mark the NHS's 73rd birthday.
On Monday, the nation marked 73 years of the NHs by giving thanks to the healthcare heroes who work tirelessly, particularly over the past year.
Posting on social media, Hampshire Hospitalss NHS Foundation Trust wrote: "Yesterday we celebrated the NHS's 73rd birthday by unveiling memorial benches at our three hospital sites, which were funded by our trust's charity, which received a portion of the donation @captaintommoore
made to @NHSCharities
"Thank you Sir Captain Tom, from all of us at HHFT."
The inspirational veteran, who passed away in February 2021, eventually raised over a staggering £32.8 million for the NHS with a charity walk that saw him rise to fame.
