A BASINGSTOKE man must complete community service after he admitted to a public order offence.
Christopher Rogers, of Carisbrooke Close in Basingstoke, appeared in court last Thursday to be sentenced, after previously pleading guilty to the charge.
He was accused of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with the intent to cause people to believe that violence would be used.
The 47-year-old was given a 12-month community order, which will see him take part in 20 days of rehabilitation activity days and carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.
He must also pay court costs of £45 and a £95 victim surcharge.
