THE Red Arrows will fly over parts of Hampshire and Berkshire this evening as they make their way to Wembley ahead of the Euro 2020 final.
Football fans will see the famous RAF squadron soar across the skies in a salute to Gareth Southgate’s England team reaching their first final in a major football tournament for 55 years.
Building the excitement ahead of the kick-off against Italy the aerobatic formation team is expected to take off from Bournemouth at 7.27pm, reaching Wembley at 7.48pm.
The squadron, which cancelled a flypast at the Goodwood Festival of Speed yesterday because of weather conditions, was set to return to its base in Scampton today.
However, the route has been altered so the team can make a flypast of Wembley Stadium ahead of the Euro 2020 final, which could see England take home a trophy for the first time since 1966.
They Red Arrows will take a revised route incorporating Andover, Reading and Newbury.
Spectators can catch a glimpse of the display team as they pass north of Andover at around 7.37pm and Newbury at around 7.39pm, before they make their way over Maidenhead and Slough on their way to the stadium.
Timings are provisional and the weather and last-minute changes may alter the route.
