POLICE have released an image of a woman they want to speak to after a pensioner was assaulted in Basingstoke.
Basingstoke police say that the woman, pictured with dark hair, wearing what looks like a black dress and no shoes, attended the Popley area at around 8.10pm on Sunday, June 27, and tried to damage an address in Ascension Close.
The neighbour, aged 71, went outside to see what was going on when she was assaulted, according to police.
A spokesperson continued: "She was assaulted and damage was caused to her garden wall and front door.
"The woman suffered bruising and broken skin to her right lower leg.
"Officers would like to speak to anyone who recognises the woman in the photo."
