THE RESULTS from the annual survey of patients on all aspects of their GP have been published.
The GP Patient Survey has revealed Hampshire and the Isle of Wight’s best and worst doctors surgeries in 2021, according to residents who rely on their services.
Residents were asked for their opinion on a variety of elements about their practice, from booking appointments, waiting times, out-of-hours services and the quality of care given.
Across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, surveys were handed out to patients and 850,206 surveys were completed and returned.
Overall, practices in the Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight CCG recorded an 83 per cent positive satisfaction rating, remaining at the same level as the national average.
Cheviot Road Surgery in Southampton came out with the highest satisfaction rating with 100 per cent of patients giving a good or better for overall experience.
West Meon surgery in Petersfield came second for satisfaction with 99 per cent rating it as good or better, and The Village Surgery in Waterlooville placed third with patient satisfaction at 98 per cent.
The lowest ranked practice was St Luke’s Surgery in Hedge End with a 70 per cent overall satisfaction rating, while 42 other practices in the region were below the national average score of 83 per cent.
