A Basingstoke motorcyclist has been killed in a crash in Bognor Regis following a collision with a car.
The incident occurred at around 10pm on Saturday, July 17, on the A259 Bognor Regis bypass, with a Honda motorcycle colliding with a Ford Tourneo.
The 57-year-old motorcyclist from Basingstoke was pronounced dead at the scene, with officers having informed his next of kin.
The driver of the car - a 69-year-old man - and passengers – a 32-year-old woman and three children - suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened, or has any relevant dash-cam footage, to come forwards.
“Anyone with information that may assist with enquiries is urged to report online or call 101, quoting Operation Ample.”
The incident follows a number of fatal incidents of North Hampshire drivers in recent months. Daniel Downey, known as Max, died after his Harley Davidson motorbike was involved in a collision with a white Fiat Doblo van on the A339 on June 14.
Meanwhile, on the B3051 near Overton, James East was killed while riding a Honda motorcycle after a collision took place on Wednesday, June 16 between a black Nissan Qashqai, a grey Skoda Fabia and his vehicle.
