Pictures have shown the aftermath of a car crash in Chineham last week.
Police were called to the scene on Ajax Close Wednesday, July 21, just after 9.30am.
Whilst thankfully no injuries were reported, the sign has been completely knocked down.
Police have confirmed the incident is currently being treated as an accident.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary told the Gazette: “We were called at 9.36am on Wednesday 21 July to a report that a silver Honda Jazz had collided with a sign on Ajax Close, Chineham.
“No-one was injured and the incident is being treated as an accident at this time. We have made Basingstoke and Deane Council aware of the damage to the sign.”
The council has been contacted for comment.
