A suspected drug dealer has appeared in court after being found with more than 40 kilograms of cannabis in his van just outside Basingstoke.
Andrew King, from Twickenham, was caught driving the Vauxhall Vivaro on the A339 between Newbury and Basingstoke on Friday (July 30).
Inside the van, officers from the Road Policing Unit found 42.5 kilograms of herbal cannabis, as well as £29,600 in cash.
The 39-year-old was charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis, as well as acquiring criminal property.
Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court yesterday, King was remanded into custody.
He will next appear before Winchester Crown Court on September 1.
