A BASINGSTOKE charity is looking for volunteers for its upcoming charity skydive.
The event, being run by cancer support charity The Pink Place, will take place on Saturday, September 11 and participants will “experience the greatest adrenaline rush” as they free fall and parachute from either 15,000 or 10,000 feet.
The event is taking place at GoSkyDive, Old Sarum, Salisbury, with the option of alternative dates available if needed.
A place at the event cost £50, with participants asked to raise a minimum of £400 sponsorship for the cause.
Christine Griffiths, fundraising and events manager at The Pink Place said: “The Pink Place Cancer Charity is proud to have continued to provide wellbeing services, support and counselling throughout the pandemic, to adults living in our local community with a cancer diagnosis.
“Our charity relies on fundraising events and challenges to fund all the free services we provide. During the last 17 months, Covid-19 prevented these fundraising initiatives from taking place which has seriously depleted our finances.
“Cancer doesn’t stop for anything or anyone. Your support today, with a sponsored Skydive will help to ensure that our charity is still here tomorrow.”
