A DESPERATE Basingstoke dog owner has appealed to the public to help find her four-legged friend after he went missing on Monday.
Leon dissapeared in South Ham between 2pm and 4pm on Monday (August 23) and was last spotted on Western Way “running at full speed”.
Despite contacting the council, dog warden and local veterinary practices, his owners say no one has seen him since.
Over 700 residents have now shared a post raising awareness of his disappearance and members of the community have been out looking for him using drones and thermal imaging technology at night.
The family is now asking the wider public to help them search for their beloved rescue animal.
His owner told the Gazette: “My kids are terrified looking for him all the time. He is lovely dog, harmless and 100 per cent domestic so he is definitely very stressed being lost.
“We [have] covered most of Basingstoke areas and Oakley and nothing. He has no collar on but he is micro chipped. We are sure he is out there somewhere.”
If anyone spots Leon they have been asked not to try and call him, chase him or run to grab him.
Instead the owners are asking you call or text 07412727267 and state the exact location, time and direction he was heading.
