THIS Wetherspoon pub has been slammed for “scandalous service” “mean looking” staff and “dirty disgusting toilets”.

Unsatisfied customers of The Angel on Festival Street, deemed the pub to be the worst Wetherspoons in Hampshire, with the lowest Wetherspoons reviews in the county.

Taking to the user-generated comparison website, disgruntled punters slammed the chain as “dirty” with “disrespectful staff”.

On one occasion, a furious customer gave the pub one star for waiting 45 minutes for their food to arrive adding that they also “found an eggshell” in their meal.

'Terrible experience'

“The food was subpar, and the bar staff was rude and not professional at all. Won't be returning back. This used to be good a while ago but now is gone downhill.”

‘My first time to a pub since [Covid]’

“My first time to a pub since all the covid 19 lock down so disappointed. I was actually worried about all the new restrictions that I was going to face just going for a pint. So, we were shown to a table which was dirty full of the last occupants dirty plates etc we did ask on numerous occasions to have it cleared and table cleaned it was eventually cleared but not cleaned.

“Waited a lifetime waiting for a drink using the Wetherspoon app. Need to use the facilities I actually nearly was kicked out cause I walked the wrong way round to go for a pee. Then I was faced with dirty disgusting toilets.

“It’s like Wetherspoons are saying well we’ve put the shields up hand sanitiser have been installed we have done our bit. Definitely more interested in profit than looking after people’s well-being How do these mega profit companies get away with it. Baffled.”

‘Had to leave...’

“Walked in and there was nowhere to wait to be served, I located a waitress and said are there any tables available, she said yeah you can sit anywhere, bearing in mind all the tables were dirty and not yet cleaned, we waited about 10 mins before we left, no one came to clean our table and the hygiene was not at an acceptable level. Would not have eaten there if they said it was free.”

Egg shell and burnt pigs in blankets...

“Found an eggshell in my meal. Informed the waiter about this and he couldn’t care less. We waited 45 minutes for our pigs in blankets. At this point we were so angry at the poor service and the quality of the food here.”
