A man who broke multiple windows in Basingstoke town centre has appeared in court.
James Andrew Bowen admitted breaking windows at Willows Coffee House, Wallis Prance Solicitors and a building belonging to White House Insurance on August 31.
He further pleaded guilty to spitting in a police cell at Basingstoke Police Investigation Centre.
The 29-year-old, of no fixed abode, has been released on unconditional bail pending the next hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on November 1.
A Basingstoke man will stand trial after being accused of harassment.
Eric Ryan Jones, of Western Way, has been charged with pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a man in Andover between April 20 and July 29.
The prosecution claim that on multiple occasions Jones spat on the front door of the complainant.
The 24-year-old, who pleaded not guilty at an earlier hearing, will stand trial at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on March 18, 2022.
He has been released on conditional bail.
A man who stole six bottles of alcohol from Asda and assaulted a man has been sent to prison.
John Sebastian Wagstaff, of Mary Rose Court, pleaded guilty to stealing the alcohol, valued at £164, from the Basingstoke supermarket on January 20.
He also admitted assaulting a person in Basingstoke on the same day.
Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court heard last week that the 39-year-old has a “flagrant disregard for people and their property”, according to court documents.
Wagstaff was jailed for eight weeks, and ordered to pay compensation for £50.
A Basingstoke man has been fined after he admitted assault.
Gary Michael Ansell, of Buckfast Close, admitted assaulting a man in the town on August 15, 2020.
He had initially pleaded not guilty and was due to stand trial at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court last week, when the court heard he wanted to change his plea to guilty.
The 31-year-old also admitted damaging the complainant’s glasses, to the value of £77.
Ansell was fined £160, and ordered to pay total compensation of £177.
A further charge of assault against a different person on the same day was dismissed after prosecutors offered no evidence.
A Basingstoke man has denied assaulting three police officers.
Marcin Roman Bartczak, of Freemantle Close, is accused of assaulting PCSO Lee Gardner, PC Annabelle Watson and PC Kieran Holmes in Andover on June 25.
He entered not guilty pleas at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court last month.
The 36-year-old will face trial at the same court on April 4, 2022, and has been remanded on conditional bail.
A man from Hook has been banned from driving after being found drug driving.
Ross Brennan, of Pantile Close, admitted being behind the wheel of a BMW M3 on Churchill Way East on December 17, 2020, whilst under the influence of Benzoylecgonine and Diazepam. Benzoylecgonine is a breakdown product of cocaine.
The 32-year-old was fined a total of £200, and banned from driving for 12 months.
He must also pay a victim surcharge of £34.
