A BURGER chain restaurant is advertising for job vacancies in Basingstoke, prompting speculation that it is opening in the town.
The company, which has more than 100 restaurants across the country, is advertising for positions in Basingstoke including shift manager, assistant manager, and deputy general manager.
However, Five Guys’ website currently has no details about a branch opening in Basingstoke.
The news comes as the Basingstoke branch of Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) in Festival Place has closed.
Five Guys launched in Arlington, Virginia, in 1986 and was named after the five brothers who founded it.
It describes its formula as “Burgers and fries cooked to perfection”.
Five Guys has been asked for further information.
