A MAN who was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, and possession of a knife and firearm, following a police search in Baughurst has been released with no further action.
On Monday 20 September, a 29-year-old man from Bradford, West Yorkshire, was arrested in relation to an incident in Baughurst on Sunday September 19.
He was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, possession of a firearm without a certificate and possession of a knife, blade or sharp pointed article in a public place.
The man was later released and will face no further action.
Officers were called to Baughurst on Sunday morning to locate a driver seen to flee from a suspicious vehicle.
The police helicopter was spotted hovering over the town whilst officers from Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police searched for the driver.
Officers were concentrated around Pinks Lane and O'Bee Gardens.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said at the time: "We were called out at 11.25am this morning (19 Sept) to assist Thames Valley Police after reports of a suspicious vehicle on O’Bees Gardens in Baughurst.
"Officers were on-scene attempting to locate a driver who was seen to decamp from the vehicle."
