POLICE are searching for a man in connection with a “serious assault” in Brighton Hill at the weekend which left a victim needing hospital treatment.
Officers are keen to speak to Aiden Riley, 32, from Basingstoke following the incident which occurred in Haydn Road at 12.02am on Saturday 18 September.
A man in his 30s suffered a head injury in the assault and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers have carried out a number of enquiries to locate Mr Riley and are continuing to do so, however Hampshire Constabulary is now asking the public to report any sightings to them.
He is described as being white, around 5ft 7ins tall and with dark brown hair.
A police spokesperson said: “We believe he will still be in the Basingstoke area, but could be in Micheldever.
“We would also like to remind people that anyone found to be harbouring him to obstruct our attempts to locate him may be committing an offence and be liable for arrest themselves”.
Anyone who sees him should not approach him, but call 101, quoting the reference number 44210374823.
Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
