A major road near Basingstoke was closed in both direction after a collision involving two vehicles.

Winchester Road was partially blocked near Brighton Hill Roundabout after the two vehicles collided.

Although minor injuries were reported, no hospital treatment was needed.

The vehicles were soon recovered from the scene.

There were delays in both directions, according to live Hampshire traffic updates.

A spokesperosn for the Hampshire Constabulary said: "We were called at 3.04pm today to reports of a collision involving two vehicles on Winchester Road at the Brighton Hill roundabout.

"Minor injuries were reported to us but no hospital treatment was needed and the vehicles have since been recovered.”
