'NO further action' is being taken, following a police incident in Black Dam throughout Friday and Saturday (October 1 and 2).
Residents of Gainsborough Road told the Gazette that they saw police officers arrive in the residential street on Friday morning, and remain on the scene until Saturday afternoon.
One nearby resident, who did not wish to be named, said they estimated between 10 and 15 officers were in attendance as well as riot equipment and what they believed to be a forensics team.
However, Hampshire Constabulary told the Gazette that, while an arrest was made, no further action was taken.
A spokesperson said: "“We can confirm a woman in her 50s was arrested in Gainsborough Road as part of an investigation into allegations of assault without injury.
"The woman was later released without charge.”
