A FOOTWEAR company has moved from its previous store to a larger unit at Festival Place in Basingstoke after signing a new partnership with the centre.

American footwear giants Skechers has signed a 10-year lease on a new, larger store in the Basingstoke shopping centre.

Festival Place has confirmed that they have renewed their partnership with Skechers.

First opened in 2017, Skechers used to operate in a 2,800-sq ft store in the one- million-sqft shopping and leisure destination. The company has now moved to a new and larger unit in the lower unit, located adjacent to O2.

The new store was opened on October 21, after operating four years on the upper level.

Centre Director Neil Churchill said: “Skechers’ expansion, along with a number of other significant lease renewals, is a huge sign of confidence in Festival Place and reinforces our status as a key regional destination.

“More than 20 new leases and renewals have been signed in 2021 and we are now home to over 200 retail, dining and leisure brands.”
