CUBS and Scouts from several groups within the Basingstoke West Scout District have received the highest awards available to them.
A total of 23 club members from the Cubs and Scouts have received their Chief Scout Silver Award and Chief Scout Gold Awards certificates.
The certificates were given to them by The Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Cllr Onnalee Cubitt at a presentation held in the council chamber at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council last week on Tuesday, November 16.
The certificate presentation was the first to be held for almost two years due to the lockdown caused by Covid-19.
The Chief Scout Silver Award is the highest available to Cubs and the Chief Scout Gold Awards is the highest available to Scouts.
Many of the youngsters have been assisted in achieving awards through the pandemic by their dedicated leaders, who provided meetings via Zoom in the absence of face-to-face meetings.
