A couple are trying to track down a passenger who is believed to have left expensive Christmas presents on the train.
The man was travelling on the 17.50 from London Waterloo to Yeovil last night (Wednesday, December 22) and got off at Basingstoke.
He left behind a number of items from country clothing store Cordings in Piccadilly, thought to be Christmas presents.
Tom and Jane French were travelling back to their home in Andover after a day out celebrating their anniversary when they spotted the bag as they were getting off.
Tom said: “The man was sitting on his own. He got off at Basingstoke.
“Afterwards, we noticed he’d left a bag behind.
“It would be great to reunite him with his items, especially as we’re only a few days before Christmas.”
