Four people were injured following a serious road transport collision involving two vehicles in Basingstoke last evening (Saturday).
The collision happened on Roman Road, at the junction with Roman Way, just before 7pm.
According to police, the collision involved a blue Ford Focus and a Honda Civic, with both drivers carrying a passenger.
Firefighters from Basingstoke, Tadley, Overton and Eastleigh were mobilised after reports of people being trapped in the vehicles.
All four people sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital for further treatment.
Police have issued a witness appeal for people who witnessed the collision.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Basingstoke yesterday evening (8 January).
"At 6.53pm we were called to Roman Road, Basingstoke, at the junction with Roman Way, following a collision involving a blue Ford Focus and a Honda Civic, with both drivers carrying a passenger.
"All four people sustained serious injuries and have been taken to hospital for further treatment.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: "Call received at 18:56 to Roman Road, Basingstoke. Crews from Basingstoke, Overton, Tadley, and Eastleigh were called to assist with extrications for an RTC involving two vehicles.
"Our stop message came through at 20:27"
Basingstoke RDS has also confirmed in a tweet that firefighters from Basingstoke, Tadley and Overton were mobilised.
The Basingstoke team also thanked South Central Ambulance Service, Hampshire Roads Policing Unit, Basingstoke police, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Thames Valley Air Ambulance for their help in the mission.
