The opera tells the story of Carmen, who is a bewitching gypsy girl, whose tantalising beauty entices the love of a soldier and a bullfighter, setting the scene for a dramatic tale of obsessive love and jealousy.

This dazzling production, with live music by the orchestra, features Bizet’s familiar breath-taking melodies including The Toreador’s Song, Carmen’s enticing Habanera, and Don José’s lyrical Flower Song. The stunning new set evokes the magnificent architecture of Seville and its main square, with Roman and Moorish influences, and the bull ring.

They will all be sung in French with English subtitles.
